What is Bank On Washington?

Bank On Washington, an initiative of the Financial Empowerment Network, is a collaboration between financial institutions, community-based organizations, and local government to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to be financially healthy. Together, we are working to connect people to safe, affordable, and certified banking accounts. Our local Bank On coalitions also offers services and educational resources that help empower people and families to improve their financial capability, health, and independence.

According to the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), approximately 5% of Mason County households are unbanked. An additional 18% of residents are underbanked - they have an account but also rely on alternative financial businesses for their banking needs.
